Waihiga Mwaura and Joyce Omondi, a prominent media couple, have managed to keep their private lives out of the spotlight despite being in the public eye. The couple, who tied the knot on December 18th, 2015, at Sawela Lodge in Naivasha, revealed in a recent interview with Salon Magazine that they kept their relationship secret until their wedding.

According to the couple, they decided to be very private about their relationship from the beginning, with many of their colleagues not knowing they were dating until they got married. In fact, they stated that this is the first and only interview they shall do in a very long time.

Waihiga and Joyce met in 2012 on a Sunday morning when Joyce was leaving the set of her show. Waihiga pursued the gospel musician for a while, but she was hesitant to get into a relationship with him. She eventually gave in, and they started dating secretly, leading to their wedding.

During their time apart, Joyce pursued her Masters Degree and had many opportunities come her way, but she believes that not every opportunity is the right one. She emphasized the importance of understanding which opportunities to take and which to leave behind, citing self-love and value as key factors in making such decisions.

As Joyce returns to the TV screen after a six-year hiatus, she expressed her excitement about her new show, which will give her the opportunity to interact with young people and infuse her faith into her work.
