On August 17, 2019, a US man was deported from Mexico to Washington after being detained at a migrant center in the southern state of Chiapas.

The man, identified as Mohammed Azharuddin Chhipa, was the target of an Interpol "blue notice," issued by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) due to his alleged online activities supporting violent jihad and radical Islam.

Interpol blue notices are used to gather information about individuals suspected of crimes, and in this case, the FBI sought to learn more about Chhipa's identity, location, and activities.

Chhipa was arrested at a migrant detention center in Huehuetan, near the Mexican-Guatemalan border, and was subsequently deported by plane to Washington after a hearing at the detention center.
