Kenyan socialite Huddah Monroe has sparked confusion on social media after claiming to be the cover model for the September issue of Harper's Bazaar.

On Friday, Huddah shared a picture of herself posing on a bicycle, wearing a purple dress and feather coat, and announced that she would be featured in the magazine's September issue.

"Thank you Harper's Bazaar US Magazine for helping me share this experience on the SEPTEMBER ISSUE. I never one day imagined I'd be in one of the Worlds biggest fashion magazine," she wrote alongside the picture.

However, a quick inspection by Nairobi News revealed that the actual cover model for the September issue is award-winning American singer and songwriter Alicia Keys.

Harper's Magazine had announced Keys as the cover star on their official Instagram page last week, stating, "It's official, our September cover star #AliciaKeys is set to take the stage at our 6th annual #BAZAARICONS party during #NYFWin celebration of @carineroitfeld's."
