Published on August 16, 2019
Arsenal's summer signing Kieran Tierney will not be available for selection until October due to a groin injury. The Scottish defender joined the Gunners from Celtic in a £25m deal on transfer deadline day.
Tierney has been recovering from the injury and is expected to return to full training in October. He has been working hard in rehab and has had good people around him, making the recovery process easier for him.
He expressed his delight at joining Arsenal, saying, "It feels great. I'm delighted to be here." However, he is currently injured and is looking forward to getting back on the pitch and training with the squad.
Other injured players, including Hector Bellerin and Konstantinos Mavropanos, are also recovering from their respective injuries, but their return dates are yet to be confirmed.
Granit Xhaka, the Swiss midfielder, may also miss the first home game of the season due to a bruised lower back and leg.
Rob Holding has returned to training with the first-team, providing a boost to the club.
