On August 16, 2019, two students from the Federal College of Education in Kotongora, Nigeria, made headlines for their honesty and integrity.

According to reports, Ahmed Usman Busa and Ahmed Suleimain, both Social Studies Education students, were heading out of the campus when they spotted a leather bag by the roadside.

They picked it up and realized that there was a large sum of money in it, amounting to N2.5m (KSh 700,000).

Instead of keeping the money for themselves, the two young men proceeded straight to the school's security office and left their phone numbers, in case the owner placed a complaint about the missing money.

The next day, they received a call from the security office, informing them that the owner of the money, Muhammad Kudu Ibrahim, a senior lecturer at the institution, was waiting for them.

Mr. Ibrahim praised the students for their rare display of virtue, saying he had already lost hope of seeing the money again.

Ahmed Usman Busa, one of the students, shared the story on his Facebook page, defending their actions by stating: "A good name is better than silver and gold."
