In 2018, Hessy Wa Dandora disclosed his personal financial investment in crime prevention activities, revealing Ksh. 28,800 annual expenses on internet bundles for monitoring Nairobi's Eastlands. His Facebook page, Nairobi Crime Free, was removed amid claims of disrupting the Gaza Gang's operations.

The self-proclaimed undercover officer detailed daily expenditures, stating Ksh. 100 on internet bundles each day, amounting to Ksh. 700 weekly and Ksh. 2,400 monthly. Over two years and four months, this totaled Ksh. 67,200, which he emphasized no entity had reimbursed.

"This investment has helped neutralize the Gaza Gang targeting Eastlands residents," Hessy asserted. He stressed his commitment to reducing violence, noting he would not suffer losses if ceasing his work. His message followed the removal of his Facebook page, which he rebranded as a new Nairobi Crime Free Page.
