Google has been making waves in the tech world with its recent Pixel 4 leaks, and the latest development is no exception. In a bid to quell the rumors surrounding the device's features, Google has taken to its blog to reveal the presence of face unlock and motion sense gestures on the upcoming Pixel 4 smartphone.

According to Google, the Pixel 4 will feature true 3D Face unlock, a technology similar to Apple's Face ID. This feature will use a combination of a dot projector, IR camera, and flood illuminator to scan a 3D map of a user's face and unlock the device. This is a significant improvement over the 2D facial recognition technology currently used by Android phones, which has been prone to spoofing cases.

Additionally, the Pixel 4 will also feature motion sense gestures, courtesy of the Soli radar chip. This technology will allow users to skip songs, snooze alarms, and silence phone calls by waving their hand. The device will be able to detect even the slightest movement around it, thanks to the miniaturized radar system in the phone.

It's worth noting that the Pixel 4's face unlock feature will only be available in regions where the device is sold. The exact availability of the fingerprint scanner is still unclear, but it's likely that the Pixel 4 will skip it in favor of face unlock.

With the Pixel 4 set to launch in October 2019, Google is certainly making a strong case for its latest flagship device. Whether or not it will live up to the hype remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure - the Pixel 4 is shaping up to be a game-changer in the world of smartphones.
