July 30, 2019 - Shaffie Weru, a veteran radio personality, has found a new home at Homeboyz Radio, barely two months after leaving Kiss FM.
Weru, who spent 14 years at the Radio Africa Group-owned station, will be taking on the role of Programmes Controller at Homeboyz Radio.
His appointment was confirmed by Somoina Kimojino, the General Manager of Homeboyz Radio, who joined the station just two weeks ago.
According to sources, Weru will not be hosting any shows, but will instead work with the team to improve programming and work on creative ideas to bring out the culture of HIP HOP and EPL in everything they do.
“He will be able to work with the team to improve our programming, work on creative ideas with the creative team to bring out the culture of HIP HOP and EPL in everything we do. We give him a warm welcome and look forward to improved station sound and programming to make HBR the no 1. Hip Hop Radio Station in Kenya,” Somoina said.
