On July 29, 2019, Samsung Mobile Kenya started rolling out the first software update for the Galaxy A80 in the country. The update brings several improvements, including autofocus to the front camera.
The Galaxy A80, which was launched locally earlier this month, stands out in the new Galaxy A series as the only model that supports Faiba 4G. However, the triple-lens main camera that flips up to become a selfie camera is arguably the most revered feature of the device.
The update, which arrived as version A805FXXU2ASG7, installs a new Android security patch for July 2019. According to the changelog, the update also improves camera stability by adding autofocus to the front camera functions.
It's an over-the-air (OTA) update, and users should have received it by now. If not, they can manually check for the update by going to Settings > Software update and tapping on Download and install.
