Kenya-based airline Silverstone Air has announced scheduled daily flights from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to Lodwar via Eldoret, set to commence early next month. The service will operate on a Dash-300 aircraft with 50 seats, offering a Sh5,000 one-way fare for the route.
The new route, which includes a stop in Eldoret, aims to intensify competition on the North Rift corridor. Current operators on the route include Jambojet, Kenya Airways, Fly 540, and Safarilink. Silverstone Air’s sales manager, Patrick Oketch, confirmed departure times: 7:30 am from Wilson Airport, arriving in Eldoret at 8:10 am, then departing Eldoret at 8:30 am for a 9:15 am arrival in Lodwar.
Established in 2017, Silverstone Air has rapidly expanded its domestic network. Last April, it increased Nairobi-Kisumu flights to 17 weekly trips and added three weekly services from Kisumu to Mombasa. The airline also targets tourism between the Western and Coastal regions, with fares ranging from Sh4,500 to Sh10,000 for Kisumu-Mombasa trips.
As a sister company to Skyward Express—founded in 2013—Silverstone Air has signaled international growth. It recently secured approval to operate beyond Kenya, with plans to launch routes to Juba, South Sudan, and Mwanza, Tanzania, marking its first cross-border services.
