Kenyan Man Arrested for Brutal Machete Attack on Suspected Chicken Thief

On July 28, 2019, a disturbing video emerged on social media showing a man being hacked to death with a machete in broad daylight in Shinyalu, Kakamega County.

The suspect, Francis Muse Liseche alias Moi/President, was later apprehended by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Sunday, hours after the video went viral.

According to the DCI, the incident occurred at Shinyalu in Kakamega, and the victim died from severe hemorrhage after being brutally cut with a machete.

DCI detectives also arrested three other suspects, including the owner of the chicken, in connection with the incident.

The four suspects will be arraigned in court on Monday to face murder charges, as per the DCI's statement.
