On July 29, 2019, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) apprehended Francis Muse Liseche, alias Moi/President, in connection with a brutal machete attack in Shinyalu, Kakamega County.
The incident, which was captured on video, involved Liseche savagely slashing a man with a machete over allegations of stealing a chicken. The victim succumbed to hemorrhage.
DCI detectives also arrested three other suspects, including the owner of the chicken, Evans Lichoti Ashihundu, Agapitus Ingosi Ang'uswa, and Reuben Smith Shitambasi.
The four suspects will be arraigned in court on Monday to face murder charges, as per DCI's statement.
