US Sets World Record in Women's 4x100m Medley Relay

On July 28, 2019, the United States set a world record in the women's 4x100m medley relay final at the 18th FINA World Swimming Championships in Gwangju, South Korea.

The team, consisting of Regan Smith, Lilly King, Kelsi Dahlia, and Simone Manuel, achieved a time of 3:50.40 seconds, surpassing their own world record of 3:51.55 set in 2017 in Budapest.

Regan Smith led off with a backstroke world record of 57.57 seconds, setting the tone for the team's impressive performance.

The US team secured the gold medal, with Australia taking silver in 3:53.42 and Canada claiming bronze in 3:53.58.
