Sadio Mané Visits Bambali Village to Inspect Projects

Senegalese and Liverpool forward Sadio Mané recently returned to his home village of Bambali in Senegal after an impressive campaign in the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Mané guided the Lions of Teranga to a second-place finish, losing 1-0 to Algeria in the finals of the competition.

Despite suffering a heartbreak in the hands of the Desert Foxes, Mané still spared some time to return home and inspect the construction of a school that he is funding.

Photos of the 27-year-old inspecting the project have since surfaced online, showing the Liverpool ace in a company of locals.

Mané, who is understood to be a popular figure in Bambali, has in the past built a mosque and a hospital. In the run-up to the 2018 Champions League final against Real Madrid, Mane bought 300 Liverpool jerseys and sent them to Bambali.

His selfless gesture has garnered admiration and applause from awestruck social media users.
