On Saturday evening, the Kenyan team, coached by Cliff Owour, faced off against the Democratic Republic of Congo in the final match of the International Basketball Federation AfroCan tournament at the Salamatou Maiga Sports Complex in Bamako, Mali.
The Morans had a remarkable run, defeating African basketball heavyweights Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, and Morocco en route to the final.
However, in the final match, the Morans lost 61-82 to the Democratic Republic of Congo, securing a silver medal.
Despite the loss, the Morans' performance was impressive, with Tylor Ongwae being selected as one of the top five all-stars in Africa, scoring 21 points in the final match.
Angola secured the bronze medal by beating Morocco 88-71 in the third-place play-off match, while host Mali finished fifth after defeating Chad 75-64.
