On July 27, 2019, the Manyatta Polo Club in Gilgil witnessed a thrilling polo match as Amistra Xtra emerged victorious in the Fawcus Cup championship.
Amistra Xtra, with a handicap of nine, secured a 5.5-3 win over Axial team, comprising Jammie Murray, Jules Camm, Gideon Moi, and Geoff Morley. The match was officiated by Raphael Nzomo.
Amistra Xtra's victory was attributed to their teamwork, as stated by Harry Stichbury, a member of the team. "We played as a team and it worked out well. We are happy for the victory," he said.
Other matches played during the Fawcus Cup included a 6-6 draw between Touchdown and Actara, and a 4-1 win by Barclays over Kenagro in the Division B Championships.
Meanwhile, in the Division C Championships, Morendat team staged a good show despite losing their two matches, while Mayers picked a 3.5-3 victory over Offbeat team.
