South African songbird Lira has made the shocking announcement that she and her husband of nine years, Robin Kohl, are getting divorced.
On her Instagram account, Lira revealed that she and her husband, who is also her manager, have been living separately and have now decided to make it public that they're splitting.
According to Lira, she and Robin are currently living apart and are in the process of deciding the future of their marriage.
She added that they are making decisions about their futures and from the look of things, the couple are wrapping it up on a friendly footing.
"It is with great sadness that I announce my separation from my husband of many years, Mr. Robin Kohl. Robin and I are currently living apart and are in the process of deciding the future of our marriage," Lira said.
"In the meantime, Robin and I sincerely request that our privacy be respected during this difficult time. We thank you in advance for your understanding," she added.
This is not the first celebrity couple to split up in recent times. Recently, South African singer and member of Mafikizolo, Nhlanhla Nciza broke up with her music mogul husband, Thembinkosi Nciza alias TK, after 15 years of marriage.
Like Lira, Nhlanhla made it official on her social media handles on Thursday, June 20.
