July 27, 2019 - The suspension of Siaya MCA Joseph Mboha has turned chaotic, with the firebrand representative storming the county assembly chamber in protest.
Mboha, who has been accused of leaking sensitive information to the executive wing and the press, has been at odds with his colleagues over his style of operation.
He has been accused of forming the habit of bursting corruption plotters, which has not gone down well with those baying for his blood.
According to Mboha, his enemies have resorted to the services of goons to silence him over his decision to expose dirty activities inside the county assembly.
Siaya subcounty Police commander Justus Kucha has assured Mboha of his safety, adding that the matter has been taken seriously by the police who are now giving the MCA round-the-clock protection.
Some of Mboha's ardent accusers are his Yimbo East counterpart Francis Otiato, Leonard Oriaro (Central Alego), and Emily Awita (nominated), who recently pushed a motion that stripped his powers to sit in three committees.
Residents of South East Alego are increasingly getting impatient with a decision to suspend their leader, which has stagnated implementation of development in the ward.
