Uganda Welcomes Zari Hassan and Ex Diamond Platnumz ¶
On July 25, 2019, Zari Hassan, a Tanzanian businesswoman, arrived in Uganda to serve as a top judge and patron for the Miss Uganda 2019 modelling competition. Her ex, Diamond Platnumz, is also in the country, but on a different mission.
According to reports, Zari Hassan was accorded a warm reception upon her arrival, with a heavily guarded convoy escorting her to the Kampala Sheraton hotel, where she was given the Presidential suite.
Photos and videos of her arrival were shared on social media, showcasing her grand entrance into the country.
As for Diamond Platnumz, he arrived in Uganda on July 24, 2019, ahead of his performance at the Wasafi festival, where he is headlining the Comedy Store show alongside comedian Eric Omondi.
Despite allegations of disrespecting his relationship with Zari Hassan, Diamond Platnumz was cordially accepted by Uganda nationals.
However, Zari Hassan has clarified that her trip to Uganda is solely based on her respect for the beauty pageant, stating that she is not staying in the country and only came for Miss Uganda.
She emphasized that since her mother's passing, she no longer has any reason to visit Uganda, but made an exception for the beauty pageant.
As for Diamond Platnumz, he will be exiting Uganda for Mwanza, Tanzania, on July 27, 2019, after his performance.
