Manchester United secured their fourth consecutive pre-season victory with a 2-1 win over Tottenham in the International Champions Cup on July 25, 2019.

Angel Gomes scored the winning goal for Manchester United in the 80th minute, after Tottenham had equalized in the 65th minute through a deflected shot from Lucas Moura.

The match began with Manchester United dominating possession, and Anthony Martial gave them the lead in the 21st minute with a hard drive past Tottenham goalkeeper Paolo Gazzaniga.

However, Moussa Sissoko was involved in a controversy when he appeared to stamp on Daniel James during a challenge, but escaped a booking.

Manchester United made wholesale changes at halftime, but were dealt a blow when Eric Bailly was stretchered off with an injury after ten minutes.

Spurs had begun the second half well and got a deserved equaliser, although it did have a helping hand on the way through.

There were a few half chances for both sides as the game went on, and it took a moment of brilliance from 18-year-old Gomes to seal United's victory.
