Harambee Stars Drop Places in FIFA Rankings

Kenya's national football team, Harambee Stars, has dropped two places in the latest FIFA rankings released on July 25, 2019.

The team was ranked 105th in June but after a poor performance at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt, they have slipped to 107th place.

Belgium remains at the top of the FIFA rankings, followed by Brazil in second place. France, England, and Uruguay complete the top five.

Senegal has moved up to 20th place globally after reaching the final of AFCON, where they lost to Algeria. Tunisia is second in the African rankings and 29th globally, while Nigeria is 33rd.

Algeria, the winners of AFCON, are fourth in the African rankings and 40th globally. Morocco is fifth in the African rankings and 41st globally.

In the Eastern Africa region, Uganda is the top-ranked team at 80th globally, while Kenya and Sudan are second and third respectively.

Kenya won one match and lost two in the group stages of AFCON.
