Nakuru County to Pay Interns KSh 15,000 Monthly

On July 24, 2019, the Nakuru County Assembly passed a motion to provide financial support to young people interning in the county government.

According to the new policy, interns will receive KSh 15,000 per month, benefiting 275 youth annually.

Additionally, five interns will be selected for each ward.

"Vijana hao watalipwa na shirika la NITA na iwapo itafeli, basi serikali ya kaunti itagharamia hilo, na kuwalipa fedha ambazo hazipungui Sh15, 000," said Daniel Githengi, the chairman of the youth committee.

The policy aims to provide economic empowerment to young people in the county.
