Manchester United defender Eric Bailly has suffered another injury setback, this time during a pre-season friendly against Tottenham on July 25, 2019.
Bailly, who has struggled with knee and ankle injuries since joining Old Trafford three years ago, was stretchered off the pitch after appearing to twist his knee while attempting to stop Spurs' Heung-Min Son from taking a shot at goal.
He was introduced as a substitute in the second half, replacing Chris Smalling, but his introduction lasted just about 10 minutes before he called for the stretcher.
Youngster Axel Tuanzebe was brought on in Bailly's place and helped Manchester United claim a 2-1 victory over their Premier League rivals, with goals from Anthony Martial and Angel Gomes.
