Kenya Morans Stun Tunisia to Book Semi-Final Spot

On July 25, 2019, the Kenya national men's basketball team, known as the Kenya Morans, made history by stunning Tunisia 82-76 in overtime to secure their spot in the semi-finals of the inaugural AfroCan basketball championship.

The team's Denmark-based forward, Tylor Okari, along with Tom Wamukota and Griffin Ligare, led the charge for Kenya, putting up a resilient fight against the North African team.

Despite Tunisia taking an early lead, the Kenya Morans managed to stay in the game, winning the third quarter 20-10 and forcing the match into overtime.

In the extra period, the Kenya Morans outscored Tunisia 14-8, securing a historic win and booking their spot in the semi-finals.

The team will now face Morocco in the semi-finals at the Palais des Sports Salamatou Maiga Arena in Bamako, Mali.
