Kenyan users of the Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 can now breathe a sigh of relief as the Android Pie update is finally available in the country. The update was promised by Samsung in June 2019, but it's only now that it's rolling out.
Software updates are often staggered, so it's no surprise that Kenyan users are receiving the update weeks after others. The update is arriving as software version J730FXWU4CSF5, although it may also reach you as version J730GMDXU6CSF5 depending on the model number of your device.
On top of installing the latest Android Pie update, the software also tags along a newer Android security patch for May 2019. Although not the latest patch level available, not so many will bother due to the excitement that comes with Pie.
The update, which is available over the air, weighs beyond 1GB, so be sure to connect your Galaxy J7 handset to a stable Wi-Fi network to download the OS.
