Man Sentenced to Life in Prison for Defiling 9-Year-Old Daughter ¶
On August 27, 2018, a horrific incident occurred at Mwachabo village in Wundanyi, Taita Taveta County, where a 36-year-old man, Abdhalla Maghanga, was found guilty of defiling his 9-year-old daughter.
Maghanga appeared before Wundanyi Senior Resident Magistrate David Ndungi, where he denied the charges, instead accusing his wife and stepmother of conspiring to frame him.
However, the prosecution proved the case beyond reasonable doubt, and Maghanga was sentenced to life in prison on Wednesday.
He has two weeks to appeal the ruling.
