On July 23, 2019, Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah was booked at the Hilton Garden Inn on Mombasa Road in Nairobi, Kenya, ahead of his departure the following morning.
According to sources, Salah's team requested that the hotel staff keep his visit private, but the staff enjoyed his stay, as revealed by a waiter in a quote to The Star.
"His team came here and talked to one of our bosses. They didn't want any information out. However, we enjoyed his stay," said the waiter.
During his brief visit, Salah was photographed posing with a portrait of President Uhuru Kenyatta hanging on the wall. The photo showed the Champions League winner wearing a black cap and sunglasses alongside an unidentified man.
It is believed that Salah arrived in Kenya through a diverted flight, but details of his visit remain scarce.
