Akothee's Heartbreak ¶
Kenyan singer Akothee has been left heartbroken after being dumped by her mystery boyfriend, citing work commitments as the reason for their breakup.
On July 20, 2019, Akothee took to Instagram to share her heartbreak, stating that she had cancelled a trip to see her boyfriend, simply because she had to work that weekend.
She wrote, 'We just broke up with bae, don't ask me which one, just know it's done, simply because I cancelled my trip to see him, simply because, I have to work that weekend scheduled for our meeting??'
Despite her heartbreak, Akothee remained thankful for the moments they spent together, stating that she would miss him.
However, she also highlighted the fact that women often sacrifice a lot in relationships, and that's why they carry a lot of bile when it's over.
She wrote, 'I think women sacrifice alot in trying to make a relationship work out, that's why they carry alot of bile when it's over, true or false?'
Before concluding on a light note, Akothee stated that she would eat her ugali and forget her ex-boyfriend soon.
She wrote, 'but I will eat my ugali and forget you soon????????'
Her fans and friends, including Zari Hassan, tried to console her, with some even joking about her expensive lashes.
However, Akothee remained strong, stating that she was more valuable than what she lost.
She wrote, 'Today, I will not cry, nobody will refund my 100? for dem lashes, the love I have for my lashes got me strong today'
As she moved on from her heartbreak, Akothee set the standards for any man who wishes to be a part of her life, stating that they must check the list: God, her, her children, her work, and AOB.
She wrote, 'the only thing I will assure all men coming into my life, check the list?? 1.God 2.Me 3.My children 4.My Work 5.AOB????'
Her post has sparked a lot of reactions, with some fans trying to console her and others joking about her heartbreak.
