Kenyan singer Willy Paul has opened up about why he keeps his one-year-old son, King Damian, out of the public eye.

Speaking in an interview on Milele FM, Willy Paul stated that he has no time for 'worthless fame' and is unsure if his son would want to be famous when he grows up.

He also expressed concerns that his son may value his privacy and not want to be in the public eye, which is why he has not opened an Instagram account for him.

Willy Paul's son is one year old, and the singer revealed that his mother is an Arab woman.

“I have a 12-month-old son, and his mother is an Arab woman. He is a boy, and his name is King Damian. I don't think he would want to be a star already. I don't have time for petty fame because I'm not sure if he would want to be famous like you when he grows up. Maybe he would want to have a private life of his own,”

Willy Paul said in the interview.

When asked about his marital status and whether he planned to marry his son's mother, Willy Paul dismissed the question, stating that he prefers to keep such matters private.
