Published on July 24, 2019, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has spoken out against the high-profile arrest of Treasury CS Henry Rotich, claiming it has been politicized to undermine Deputy President William Ruto.

The outspoken lawmaker, who is also an insider in Ruto's circle of political allies, accused the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji of selective prosecution, citing the Ruaraka Land Scandal.

According to Sudi, the mission was to maliciously prosecute those Cabinet Secretaries who are presumed to be allied to DP Ruto, in order to portray him in a bad light.

He further claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto have been portraying a false public display of friendship, saying, 'Let Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto continue FAKING their 'good' relationship. We are not fools. God is watching all this.'
