The Kenyan Entrepreneurs' Conference on Trade and Development (KENCTAD) is back with an e-commerce theme, set to take place on August 2 at the Signature Auditorium in Westlands.
According to Sebastian Davies, Head of Business Development at KENCTAD, the conference will focus on e-commerce and its enablers, with the aim of providing maximum value to attending businesses.
"In order to ensure maximum value for the attending businesses, we intentionally narrowed down our focus for this edition and decided to focus on e-commerce and her enablers. E-commerce is huge!" said Davies.
The conference will feature testimonials from companies that have successfully identified a successful niche in e-commerce, including Saru Organics, who credit their manufacturing empire to e-commerce and other digital platforms.
"Did you know that one e-commerce website can literally replace an entire mall? This is off-course if facilitated by enabling factors such as logistics, payments solutions, escrow services, storage and delivery services," Davies added.
KENCTAD has partnered with Glovo, Sky.Garden, and Africa Sokoni, some of the fastest growing e-commerce platforms in Kenya.
Chance is still open for businesses that want to participate in the summit, with tickets available for sale until July 26. Advance tickets are going at KSh 1,500, while tickets at the gate will be sold at KSh 2,000.
