Manchester United are preparing for life without Paul Pogba, with the Frenchman's potential departure set to trigger a major transfer push for a new central midfielder.
According to reports, United have identified Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as their top choice to replace Pogba, with the Lazio midfielder having been linked with the club last summer.
United were priced out of a deal for Milinkovic-Savic last year, with Lazio valuing the 24-year-old at £100m. However, it's claimed that the Serbian midfielder will be available for closer to £65m plus add-ons this summer.
United are hopeful of reaching an agreement with Lazio as soon as Pogba moves on, although the club are not ruling out keeping the Frenchman.
Real Madrid remain in pole position to sign Pogba, with the Spanish club willing to wait until the end of the transfer window to bring the midfielder in.
However, United won't do any business after the English transfer window ends on August 8, leaving Real Madrid with just over two weeks to complete the swoop.
