Callum Hudson-Odoi Signs New 5-Year Deal at Chelsea ¶
Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has agreed a new five-year deal with the club, worth around £100,000-a-week.
After being heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich, Hudson-Odoi has committed his future to Chelsea, with the deal set to be completed before the start of the 2019-20 season.
According to reports, Hudson-Odoi was encouraged by positive words from new manager Frank Lampard, who has shown that the 18-year-old is needed in his team.
Despite being injured towards the end of last season, Hudson-Odoi is set to return to action for the Blues in September.
It's understood that lack of playing time was one of Hudson-Odoi's major problems, having made 24 appearances and scored five goals under former boss Maurizio Sarri last campaign.
Former manager Maurizio Sarri had previously praised Hudson-Odoi, saying: "I am not going to say things that are pie in the sky but, with his talent, he can be central to this team, he can be central to England."
"He can show, right here at Chelsea, the team he came through the academy at, that he is going to be a world-class player - because I truly believe that," Sarri added.
Chelsea's new deal for Hudson-Odoi comes after the club claimed a 2-1 win over Barcelona in the Rakuten Cup in Japan on July 23.
