On Tuesday evening, Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich and his Principal Secretary Kamau were released on bail after each posting Sh15 million as demanded by the court.
They were among several high-ranking officials who were granted bail in a case related to the Arror and Kimwarer dams project.
Justice Douglas Ogori granted them the Sh15 million bail each, with an alternative option of depositing Sh50 million as a bond.
Additionally, they were ordered to surrender their passports within 48 hours and barred from accessing their offices.
The officials are accused of conspiracy to defraud the government, failing to comply with procurement law, and irregular procurement of an insurance policy through single sourcing.
