Photos of National Youth Service (NYS) scandal chief suspect Josephine Kabura at a Nairobi hospital sparked reactions on social media on Wednesday, April 5.

Kabura, who is accused of involvement in the KSh 1.8 billion NYS scam, was seen seeking treatment at a city center clinic, appearing unwell.

Many people responded to the news, with some wishing her well, while others criticized her, citing the alleged theft of public funds.

According to reports, Kabura hid her face while in the waiting hall but was recognizable when she exited and headed to a pharmacy.

Some Kenyans took to social media to comment on the situation, with Athanas Jaego writing, The things that millions of shillings cannot do! and Mercy Akpa saying, Haiya...i thought they fly out to London?

Kabura previously alleged that former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru was the mastermind behind the NYS scandal, claiming she carried hundreds of millions of shillings in gunny bags from the bank to undisclosed locations.

The scandal, which involved several politicians and top industry names, is still under investigation, with no arrests made so far.

The recovered account cited reporting by Nairobi News,Tuko.
