On July 23, 2019, Ugandan businesswoman Zari Hassan spoke out about Kenyan radio presenter Tanasha Donna's pregnancy, warning her that Diamond Platnumz has a history of impregnating women and failing to take care of his children.
According to Zari, Diamond has a cycle where he gets women pregnant and then leaves them to raise their children alone. She advised Tanasha to be prepared to take care of her child on her own, describing the situation as 'the same thing' that has happened to her and other women involved with Diamond.
However, Zari also expressed hope that Diamond might change his ways, saying 'we should give him the benefit of doubt because he might change since he might realize he lost someone good, so let's not rule out the fact that he will be a good person someday.'
Zari also disputed Diamond's claim that he provides her with monthly child support, stating that she raises their two children on her own and that Diamond does not pay for their school fees.
