The Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) task-force is facing delays in collecting views from five counties, despite visiting 42 others, as it works to address Kenya's pressing issues.
According to BBI Vice Chairman Adams Oloo, the team had so far visited 42 counties, but was yet to collect views from Trans Nzoia, West Pokot, Bungoma, Nairobi, and Tana River counties.
“We are asking Kenyans to be patient and bear with us (as we) collect and collate Kenyans' views on how best they want to be governed and/or to fix our problems,” said Dr Oloo.
The task-force was formed on March 9, 2018, after President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga reached a political truce to end hostility among Kenyans.
Published on July 23, 2019, in The Standard, Oloo explained that the team was on course and would not be disrupted by proposals made by the Punguza Mzigo initiative by Third Way Alliance Party.
