On July 4th, 2019, Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu's fiancé's brother, Dr. Herman Gitau Nyoti, was among the candidates shortlisted for an interview for the position of Chairperson, Kiambu County Public Service Board.

According to sources, Dr. Nyoti was the picked candidate for the lucrative job, which has raised eyebrows given his upcoming marriage to Waititu's daughter, Dr. Njeri Ndung'u.

Dr. Nyoti and Dr. Njeri Ndung'u are set to tie the knot this Saturday, July 20th, 2019, at the PCEA Evergreen Church in Runda, followed by a wedding reception at the Windsor Golf and Country Club.

Dr. Nyoti, a graduate of the University of Cape Town and the University of Nairobi, is a well-qualified candidate for the position, having studied Health Innovation and MBCHB, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.

Dr. Njeri Ndung'u, on the other hand, is a senior doctor at the Gatundu Level 5 Hospital and a graduate of medicine from the University of Nairobi.

A notice seen by Kenyan Report revealed that Dr. Nyoti was among 5 individuals shortlisted for the position, with the shortlist submitted to the Clerk on Monday for tabling on Tuesday.
