Published on July 22, 2019, the Jubilee party's downfall has been a long time coming. Over a year has passed since the handshake between Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta, which was meant to unite Kenyans and bring order to the country. However, the opposite has occurred, with the party's relations becoming increasingly chaotic.

Several Jubilee members have spoken out about the handshake being a red flag, pointing to Raila Odinga as the mastermind behind the party's downfall. However, this narrative ignores the fact that the party's own members have the answers to their problems. The fears of Jubilee members are evident, and none of them know how to wear a poker face.

Politicians like Kipchumba Murkomen have openly shown their fear, projecting it onto others. Scandals are being unearthed daily, and it's impossible to peg foul play as the reason for the loss of taxpayers' money. Leaders in powerful positions are feeding the public misinformation about the use of taxpayers' money.

The chorus of disunity sung by Jubilee members now sounds like a hidden agenda that could be unearthed if the handshake continues. The DCI, who has been nabbing corrupt leaders, is receiving negative attention from a section of the leaders in the Jubilee party. This could be fear that their time is almost up.

It's worrying that the members are crying of disintegration in the party, yet the president, Uhuru Kenyatta, can easily unify them. The question is, why is Uhuru turning a deaf ear to his allies? A legacy of endless looting and less action from the president will be left by this government. Trying to revive the party is close to impossible.

Uhuru wants to leave a good legacy, but his corrupt party members will only drag him down. They have been thrown to the wolves, but why cry of disunity now? Did the president stop his shenanigans with his party members and is now looking for new playmates?

In an alternate universe where Jubilee members have the unity they desire, what would they do differently to make this country great and leave a good legacy?
