On July 22, 2019, FIFA imposed a lifetime ban on Mooketsi Kgotlele, the former General Secretary of the Botswana Football Association, from all football-related activities at both national and international levels.
The ban was a result of Kgotlele's guilt in accepting bribes related to the manipulation of international matches linked to convicted match-fixer Wilson Perumal.
