On Sunday, July 21, 2019, Cristiano Ronaldo made headlines for his kind gesture to a young fan during a pre-season match between Juventus and Tottenham in Singapore.
As he was being replaced in the 60th minute, Ronaldo invited the young fan to sit with him and the rest of the Juventus team on the bench.
According to Maurizio Sarri, the Juventus coach, he initially thought security would intervene, but instead, the young fan was given the opportunity to experience the match from a unique perspective.
"I thought security was going to come for him," Sarri said. "When it is a kid, it is not a pitch invasion, it is a moment of joy," he added.
Despite the final outcome of the match, which saw Juventus lose 3-2 to Tottenham, the young fan will undoubtedly cherish the memory of sitting alongside his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo.
