On July 21, 2019, Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz and his girlfriend Tanasha Donna revealed that they are expecting a baby boy, their first child together.
This will be Diamond's fourth child, following two kids with ex-lover Zari Hassan and one with model Hamisa Mobetto.
At the backstage of Wasafi Festival, Diamond spoke about why he didn't propose to Tanasha during the event.
'I knelt down and kissed the bump and stood, people thought I had proposed but no,' Diamond said. 'Everything has its plans, Tanzanians like to predict things and I don't like to be predictable.'
He added that he wanted to propose to Tanasha on a more intimate occasion, such as his mother's and lover's birthday.
'That event will happen,' Diamond said. 'That wasn't the right day from the way I want to propose to my girlfriend. So many people have done it like that and now it's outdated.'
He also hinted at upcoming events, including a baby shower and the unveiling of two new artistes he has signed.
