On July 21, 2019, Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu's first-born daughter Monica Njeri tied the knot with the love of her life Dr Nyotu Gitau in a private ceremony at the Presbyterian Church of East Africa in Runda.
The intimate wedding was attended by close family friends, including Ngina Kenyatta and her son Muhoho Kenyatta.
The couple later celebrated their union with a colourful wedding reception at the Windsor Golf Hotel and Country club.
Dr Gitau, a graduate of the University of Cape Town and the University of Nairobi's School of Medicine, where he studied Health Innovation and MBCHB, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery respectively.
Monica Njeri, a senior doctor at the Gatundu Level 5 Hospital, is a graduate of medicine from the University of Nairobi and previously worked at the Kenyatta National Hospital.
