On July 20, 2019, HSEVEN, a Moroccan startup accelerator, launched the Disrupt Africa accelerator program, aiming to support innovative startups in Africa.
The program, which promises to provide a seed investment of €150,000, plus an eventual investment of €500,000 to €1.5 million, is open to 10 seed and early-stage startups with 2 to 5 founders.
According to Amine Al-Hazzaz, Founder & CEO of HSEVEN, the program aims to bring together the best Moroccan, African, and African-at-heart entrepreneurs from around the world to build impactful world-class African startups.
The selected startups will benefit from a seed investment of €150,000 at the beginning of the program, followed by an eventual investment of €500,000 to €1.5 million at the end of the program, granted through a partnership with Azur Partners and funding support from the Dutch Good Growth Fund (DGGF) and the Innov-Invest program of the Caisse Centrale de Garantie (CCG) with the support of the World Bank.
As part of the program, the startups will receive strategic advice and expertise, access to key networks and capital, and tailored mentoring with over 350 Moroccan and international mentors.
