Deputy President William Ruto has intensified his conflict with State House, taking aim at President Uhuru's spokesperson Kanze Dena for speaking out on Jubilee Party matters.

On Sunday, Ruto accused Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju of being an opposition strategist within the party, sparking a heated exchange.

Ms Kanze Dena strongly defended Tuju on Tuesday, stating that he was only doing a job delegated to him by President Uhuru.

However, Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot, a close ally of Ruto, fired back at Dena, saying she has 'serious competency lapses' and should refrain from commenting on Jubilee Party issues.

Cheruiyot's rebuke came in the form of a tweet, where he likened Dena's understanding of Jubilee Party matters to a nun's comprehension of mosque issues.

The escalating tensions between Ruto and State House have raised concerns about a growing intolerance within the DP's camp towards leaders perceived to be against his presidential ambitions.

As the feud continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how this collision will impact the 2022 presidential election.
