On July 19, 2019, Algeria secured its second Africa Cup of Nations title in 19 years with a 1-0 victory over Senegal at the Cairo International Stadium in Egypt.
Algeria had previously met Senegal in the group stages, securing a 1-0 win, and Senegal was without their suspended star defender Kalidou Koulibaly in the final match.
Baghdad Bounedjah scored the winning goal early in the game, securing Algeria's second Africa Cup of Nations title in 19 years.
