The survey, which gathered nominations from panellists across 41 countries, including South Africa, asked participants to name the person they most admire alive today.

According to the findings, Trevor Noah, a South African comedian, is the most admired man in South Africa, followed by Cyril Ramaphosa, the country's president, and Patrice Motsepe, a successful businessman.

Among the most admired women in South Africa are Thuli Madonsela, a respected advocate, Bonang Matheba, a popular television presenter, and Helen Zille, a retired politician.
