On July 19, 2019, comedian Eric Omondi surprised Churchill at a Churchill Show event in Naivasha by making a cameo appearance after seven years.
During the show, Eric confessed how instrumental Churchill was in his life, sharing a story he had never told anyone before.
Eric revealed that he met Churchill in 2006 while he was a second-year student at Daystar University, where he was an MC at an event that Churchill attended.
Churchill was impressed by Eric's skills and asked for his phone number, but Eric waited for two years before Churchill called him in 2008 to inquire if he was ready to perform.
Eric credited Churchill with ushering him into the comedy world, saying that he had never told this story to anyone anywhere.
He recalled that he used to MC at events and people would later tell him that he made them laugh, which led to him being asked to conduct other events.
Eric said that he was given the chance to MC an event where Churchill was attending, and he really did his best, performing narratives and poems.
Churchill then asked Eric to watch 12 episodes of the show and to get ready to perform at the 13th episode, which was Eric's breakthrough.
