According to a video posted on Instagram by Sports Direct Football, Ozil explained that he, Sead Kolasinac, and Shkodran Mustafi lost a bet against Lacazette in a crossbar challenge.
‘I lost a bet. Or we lost a bet against Laca, crossbar challenge yeah. Me, Sead [Kolasinac] and Shkodran Mustafi so we lost altogether,’ Ozil told Sports Direct Football.
Ozil's revelation has put an end to the speculation surrounding his new hairstyle, and fans can now rest easy knowing that there's no deeper meaning behind it.
