With the transfer window open, Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama is facing a daunting task to secure his place at the club next season.

French star Tanguy Ndombele's arrival has pushed Wanyama further down the pecking order in a crowded midfield that includes five other top players.

Wanyama, who has been plagued by injuries in the past two seasons, will have to force his way back into the team, which also features Sissoko, Alli, Winks, Eriksen, and Dier.

Despite being one of Pochettino's favorite midfielders, Wanyama's chances of making the cut are slim, but if he can regain his lost form, it will be a selection nightmare for the Argentine tactician.

Wanyama was excluded from Tottenham's International Champions Cup tour in Singapore and Shanghai due to his Africa Cup of Nations exploits, but he is expected to link up with his teammates next week.

With his past injuries and the arrival of Ndombele, Wanyama's future at Tottenham is uncertain, but if he can shake off his fitness issues, he might just give Pochettino a serious selection quandary.
